Teacup Dragons
If you tread carefully, watching closely, you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of these shy dragons. They can be found all over the world in various terrain as long as there is plant life to be seen. The biggest groups are usually found in flower patches and meadows, however these tiny critters can also be found high up in the trees or in forests, deserts and even mountains and tundras. They are well adapted to the world around them and the most striking thing about them is their amazing camoflauge. They usually have a green or brown main body colour with strikingly vibrant colours on the insides of their wings or stomach and face, which often reflects the flowers they usually hide in. Teacup dragons also have what looks like flowers growing on their bodies. These flowers are infact mutated scales and skin however they offer great protection when hiding amongst the flowers. Almost all ground living Teacup Dragons have a green tail which stands up when they are hiding, the tree living ones have brown tails that they wrap around the branches when hiding.
Teacup Dragons size range from as small as fitting in the palm of a hand to being around as big as a basketball. They are however usually compared to the size of teacups, hence the name Teacup Dragons.
There are currently three different "branches" of Teacup Dragons known: flower/plant/tree Teacup Dragons, fungi Teacup Dragons and aquatic Teacup Dragons.
Flower/plant/tree Teacup Dragons are the most common species. Fungi and aquatic Teacup Dragons are rarer and are almost allways born without wings. Aquatic Teacup Dragons also have webbed toes to give them better control underwater.

Apple
Personality: Apple is a sweetheart whose sweet heart is big enough to hold all those that make the slightest effort to make friends with her. She is also very independent as is shown when she boldy makes friends with humankind, an unusual move for dragons in the world she inhabits. Now, while she is independent and caring, Apple tends to be rather skittish as sudden movements startle her and strange, unfriendly people will cause her to skitter off, usually into a pocket of a friendly person nearby. And unfortunately for the dear, skittish and autonomous Apple, she is easily distracted and very curious about the world around her. This mixture of personality can sometimes be hilarious to observe or else endangering to her friends. However, clever little Apple is always able to think of a way out of the scrape she’s gotten herself and friends into and always does her best to make up for it afterwards.
Story:
Folletta skipped through the apple orchard, grinning from ear to ear: she was in heaven! It had been too long since she had been near trees and green things. Folletta slowed her step to enjoy this moment even more and, without thinking about it, reached out to feel the rough bark of a nearby tree. What her hand landed on was the soft skin of a creature! Folletta jerked her hand back and turned her head to examine the spot her hand had been. Nothing was there now but bark, however her sharp eye caught the minuscule movement of something higher up. Lifting her eyes upward, Folletta found herself eye to eye with a tiny dragon. The creature was tense, obviously just waiting for the slightest movement to make her scurry away; Folletta stayed very still. Its pastel pink eyes glittered in the shade of the apple blossoms and its tail twitched slightly, jostling its little blossom-like growths that perfectly matched the delicate little flowers that surrounded it. The tiny creature was so well camouflaged that Folletta thanked the gods she had caught a glimpse of it before it could melt into its surroundings. She was surprised, though, that the little thing didn't run off now. She was even more startled when it suddenly jumped from the branch, fluttering its bird-like wings, and landed on her head. Folletta flinched but didn't jump, even as it started doing something with her hair, tugging here and there. Finally, it climbed down to her shoulder, making funny little chirping noises as it fiddled with the holes in her sleeves and then it got particularly distracted with the button that kept her cloak together. Now Folletta couldn't help but giggle slightly, even though she was sure that once she made any sudden movements the beast would be off. But no, instead it gave a little hissing sound, continuing to play with the button. It did get startled when suddenly a voice cut through the quiet orchard. "Hey, Bird, what 'cha got there?" The little beast squeaked and took off; right into one of Folletta's pockets. Folletta, not wasting any time, turned to Cal with a finger to her lips, shushing him. Taking the hint, but look more curious than ever, Cal silently stepped closer and took a quick glance into her open pocket. He leaned back and Folletta could see the expression of confusion on his face. "Well aren't you favored by the gods." he whispered, shrugging and looking slightly jealous. "Only until she flies off." Folletta returned, ever so gently stroking the pocket, "Until then, I think I'll call her Apple." She stopped the motion of her hand a moment as she thought she felt the little dragon quivering with fear but after a moment a grin spread across her face: it wasn't slow enough for a fearful tremble. This was the vibration of a purring cat. Folletta took it as a good omen and continued on through the orchard. | Design © SplashofOrangeJuice of CS | Character © PixieStoryteller (me!) |

Trust
Personality:
Quiet and serene, Trust is very protective of his master and always is looking out for him. He makes warning chirps whenever Tom(his prospective master) seems to be getting into trouble. That isn't to say that Trust has no sense of humor as he does sometimes play little pranks on Tom, especially when Tom isn't expecting it. Trust is Tom's greatest cheerleader and his best friend. Entry Story:
Trust trilled a second warning as his charge teased his brother again. Why doesn't he ever listen? Trust asked himself as he watched Tom getting pummeled by his older brother. Trust allowed the tussle to last another minute longer before flapping his wings and landing on Tom's older brother's shoulder. All it took was one hiss and the older boy backed off. "Alright, alright," Tom's older brother said, letting go of Tom reluctantly, "but he started it..." Trust looked over at Tom with an eyebrow raised and Tom grinned guiltily. "Sorry." he said just as reluctantly. Trust nodded with approval and glided off of Tom's brother's shoulder and on to his "master's". "Its just hard, ya know?" Tom insisted to his tea cup sized conscience later when he'd left his brother to himself Trust rolled his eyes. "Well if you had had an older brother, then you would understand..." Tom muttered in a disgruntled reply. Trust glanced over at Tom and realized with chagrin that he had taken his chastisement too far. He reached his head over and gently nudged the side of Tom's face. Tom turned to look him in the eye to find Trust's eyes wider than ever in an apologetic expression. "Oh," he said with a half laugh, "its ok." Trust's tail wagged slightly, copying the dog's mode of expressing pleasure. He would really have to work on quitting that habit... "Shall we go outside and look for stones?" Tom asked. Pleased that his charge was suggesting something where he wouldn't get into trouble, Trust nodded with a little chirp of encouragement. "Ok!" Tom said enthusiastically, "I thought I saw some particularly smooth and shiny ones by the creek." And with that the two were off, Trust relaxing his guard a little and preparing to enjoy some one-on-one time with his favorite human. | Design © DragonLoverHere of CS | Character © PixieStoryteller (me!) |
